We are honored to announce that our ongoing research into 3D-printed sand and circular fabrication has been integrated into the Materials Research Centre (MRC) at Foster + Partners.
In their recent Material Futures report, the MRC highlighted Wedge as a studio disrupting traditional construction patterns through digital fabrication. Being included in the internal library of one of the world's most influential architecture firms is a significant validation of our technical direction. It places our "sand and data" methodology at the forefront of the global conversation on how fundamental materials are being reinvented for the built environment.
Foster + Partners’ research focuses on materials that move beyond abstract concepts into built form, and we are proud that our 3D-printed quartz silica system is being studied as a viable, sustainable alternative for large-scale architectural applications.
For Wedge, this isn't just about furniture; it’s about proving that our circular, carbon-conscious materials are ready for the highest levels of global architecture and design. This recognition reinforces our commitment to a future where buildings are not just constructed, but grown from data and recycled matter.
