From April 20–26, Wedge will present DELOS at Alcova Milano 2026, situated within the raw, high-ceilinged spaces of a former military hospital laundry in Baggio. DELOS is a new framework for material stewardship that challenges the static nature of design. By utilizing industrial 3D sand printing, it decouples physical matter from its temporary digital form.
At Alcova, visitors will encounter the inaugural DELOS "Variants"—objects born from a continuous lineage of high-purity quartz sand. These pieces demonstrate a system where owners steward a permanent volume of matter that can be dissolved and reprinted endlessly as needs evolve. Set against the backdrop of Alcova’s reclaimed architecture and wild vegetation, DELOS proposes a future where design adapts at the speed of culture, anchored in the permanence of geological time.
