During the 2025 edition of 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen, we were honored to have our installation, Mise-en-Abyme, featured by Dezeen. Set within the historic Lapidarium of Kings, the exhibition served as a stage for our latest Epoch 2 collection, where sculptural furniture was transformed into cinematic projection surfaces.
The project is an exploration of how digital data can be "recycled" into physical form. Each piece began with LiDAR scanning and generative modelling, culminating in high-precision 3D sand printing. By projecting light and data back onto these textures, we created a dialogue between the cold precision of the machine and the raw, tactile nature of the sand.
As Dezeen noted, the installation blurs the line between memory and form. For Wedge, this exhibition was about more than just showing new furniture; it was about demonstrating how digital craft can create an emotional, immersive experience. We believe that the future of the home and the gallery lies in this harmony between sustainable materiality and advanced technology.
This showcase in Copenhagen allowed us to engage with a global audience of collectors and designers, further solidifying our commitment to a design language that is both "Granular by nature" and "Circular by design."
